Impact Topics in Practice Guide: Human Rights

The Human Rights Impact Topic aims to improve outcomes for people suffering or at risk of harm caused by a company's operations, products, or services. This impact topic asks companies to first understand how their operations and value chains may involve negative human rights impacts, and then take action to prevent and mitigate them, bringing the B Lab standards in alignment with the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights (UNPGs). JEDI and human rights have deep conceptual links with one another. Their intentions and eventual goals are the same — that all people are treated with respect and live with dignity.
