2022 saw unprecedented growth for the B Corp movement and marked a new phase of maturity for B Lab U.S. & Canada. We nearly doubled our team to support the demand for new certifications and B Corp engagement, and set up a new Programs team to lead the next chapter of our advocacy and policy work. We now operate as a subsidiary of B Lab Company (B Lab Global) with our own board of managers, while maintaining our commitment to global interdependence.

We also redefined our value proposition to the B Corp community, expanding from a certification into a movement. We are helping build the roadmap to eradicate the racial wealth gap, lead a just climate transition, and engage in policy advocacy. B Corps proved they are ready to be part of a movement by taking demonstrable action to speak up for equitable access to healthcare and voting rights.

In this Impact Report, you will see our commitment to centering humanity in our work, while also ensuring it represents perspectives from the communities that are most impacted. This means we value the experience of all the people that make up the B Corp community, from our employees, suppliers, investors, and customers, to the stakeholders that hold us accountable, including community leaders, activists, policymakers, and the media.
